I took the ACT in April, and I got a composite score of 33. My math and English were both 35, reading was a 34, and science was a 28.
Needless to say, I wasn't expecting the science test to be quite like that (no prep... probably a mistake), and I over-thought enough questions to run out of time and be forced to randomly guess on 6 of them.

Now, I know that a 33 is an absolutely stellar score to have- don't get me wrong- and it's at or above the 75th percentiles of all but one of the colleges I'm looking at. However, I'm interested in going into chemistry, and I'm worried that a significant (but relative) dip in the science section would look bad in the same way that a low math score might hurt a prospective student interested in engineering.

Would it be in my best interest to take it again (and potentially score a 34-35 composite), now that I know how everything works, or does it really not matter as much since my composite and other scores are right where they should be? Thanks! c:
