Retake physics?

My physics final is tomorrow and there is a high possibility I could fail it. Depending on how bad I fail, I could get a C, D, or F(not likely but possible). Should I retake it if I get a D? If I get an F I have to retake it (course policy). This is mechanics, next semester I was scheduled to take electricity & optics as a sophomore chemE at purdue.

I was also wondering, would it look really bad if I failed it, retook it and got an A? Here, they keep the F on the transcript but they replace the grade with what you get the second time. Thoughts?

In my other courses this semseter I'm getting either an A or B in calc 2, B in gen chem 2, A or B in accelerated english. So physics is my weakness :(

Your gonna need it for chemE, and its good stuff to know. If you can't self study to the next level, retake it. Possibly with a better teacher.

dam that really sucks. I withdrew from my physics mech because I was having a bit of trouble myself.

You're pretty much screwed with a D/F. It's supposed to be the easiest class in an engineering major. Maybe if you hadn't smoked so much pot...

i had a similar problem last quarter. i saw where the trend was taking me in that class and decided to partake in a preemptive strike. i switched my grading option to PASS/NOT PASS and just took the not pass. didnt even go to the final. so this quarter im taking it over, and just got a A+ on the midterm. this instructor is soo much better and i actually understand it.

Hm.. it was a lot easier then I expected :)
14 questions @ 14 points each for a total of 200 pts.. I think I missed 4-5. I'm getting a C hopefully hehe.

Is it really the easiest class for the major though? I honestly didn't put enough effort to justify that it's extremely difficult. I mean I usually copied all the homeworks, and the exams were a complete gamble considering we had 3 100 pointers with 7 multiple choice covering 70% of each exam. And one free response worth 30%.

I mean, I heard calculus 2 was the hardest math course, and series & sequences sucked, but I'm getting an A or high B in that course..
