Physics 2A -Schuller

For any of you who have taken or just know...

what kind of grading scale/curve/method does he usually use for this class. (or any for that matter)

I'm not doing so well and I have until this Friday to decide whether or not I should drop. My TA said that they won't decide these matters until after grades are in..
=/

what have you been getting in the quizes?

3’s =(

10char

well it depends whats your going for i guess. what u expect in the class? im pretty sure you’ll still pass.

^ is this coming from a current student or someone’s whose taken his class in the past…?

just wondering… I figure I’ll probably get a C but I think I can do a lot better if I put in more time and effort. (especially in the beginning)

On another note, if you get a D in a class, you’re allowed to retake the course but does the D gpa (1, is it?) get overridden by the new gpa for the retaken course?

thanks

yes, you can replace up to 16 units of Ds and Fs. I feel sorry for you if you have to take Physics 2B and 2C. I thought 2A was the easiest of the three when I took them

the D’s will still show up on your transcript though right?

yes they will always remain on the transcript. They just dont count in the overall gpa

do u think its better to take a W or shoot for a pass or high C/low B at best. (and then maybe retake the course later)

opinions?

There’s no point in retaking the course with a C+/B-… Remember that you have the final, too. I think there is a curve. I’m not sure how much though

bummmp…

bump

1o0char

Is it possible to change it to pass/no pass and retake it next quarter (or later) if I have to take it for my major?

if you pass it with a Pass then you cant retake it for credit

curve’s out: 85% is an A

where/when’d u hear this from?

my ta sent out an email a few days ago.

If this is gonna be your first W. I’d just drop the class. A 3/10 is pretty low. I think 4s and 5s would be a C. Don’t risk it!

Where’d u hear this from?

ghostblade, which section are u in?
