retake SAT 2170?

Hey incoming high school senior. Plan to apply early to Cornell. Is there still time to retake SAT/is it worth it? Grades are avg for indian guy and i should be published in a medical journal or two by the end of the summer if that means anything

There is more time because you can still take the SAT in October. Would need a little more info to weigh in on whether you should retake? How many times have you taken it already? (Most people improve the second sitting, but not all) What are you subscores? How do your subscores compare to your practice test subscores? How much did you practice?

my second time i took it is the 2170. m-720, cr-730, w-720

i practiced quite a bit and raised my score two hundred points from my first score

i also have two sat subject tests. math ii- 780 and ushist-750

I think in your shoes I would take it one more time.

what score do you think will be cornell material?

Going off your 2170 and your publication in a medical journal, I believe that you are set for Cornell. I had a friend get in last year with a score lower that yours by 50 points.

Cornell doesn’t take writing into account. Mid 50% of scores : 630-730 for CR, and 670-770 for math. You are comfortably IN the range; so, there is no need to retake, but you still can, if you are certain that you can significantly improve. Your subject tests are really good as well.

If I do worse than this score will Cornell look down on it? Also please keep in mind I am a Indian male.

Are you an international student? If yes, will you need any aid?

No I’m in Texas.

Won’t need any significant financial aid. Parents earn enough to send me through

Does Cornell superscore?
