Retake SAT II Phy?

I'm debating whether to take Physics standby on Jan 22 or not. Took three in october, and coun't finish phy.

My scores for now:

SAT I - 750V 740M
SAT II - 720 Physics, 760 Writing, 770 Math IIC

Will it make enough of a difference for my deferral and other applications to be worth the retake, if I bring it above 750

aim for at least a 780. if you're aiming for only a 750, then don't waste your time and money.

What was your percentile?

70-something :p

Yeah, I guess I should retake it and get it to 780ish

Yeah. Only retake if you can most definitely raise it above 30 points. But a 720 is still a good score.

Retaking it isn't going to do you any good. In all honesty, all that matters for a place like harvard is that all your SAT II's are at least 700. Increasing your score from 720 to 780 probably wont help u at all.

but it's won't seem "anal" to retake will it... i do believe i can raise it by a lot

edit: i took the sat i thrice

astrix...I never realized you were obsessive about test scores...

ah okay. that does it. wont retake.

because someone said you were obsessive? :O

yes :(

i dont want to come across like that to the adcom ya know

I was kidding. Do whatever you want :)
Btw...don't you think its a waste of time? I hate to be a killjoy but CBSE is coming after all..

Raising your score still wont help you get in though . There's no point in wasting your time and paying ETS the $30 or whatever it costs.

Alright. I've decided not to take it. For the money, for the obsessiveness factor, and since Jan 22 is in the middle of my preboards (whose marks go in my midyear report)

Good idea. In case you were wondering, I got a 720 on Physics also-like you, I didnt bother taking it again even though I know I can do better.
