I have taken both once and got a 2090 on the SAT the first time. My SAT 2s were US History 700 and Math 2 680. I also took the ACT and got a 31 and am retaking it Sept 11th hoping to get a 33. I am applying early action to Stanford however. So, I can either take just the SAT or the SAT 2s. Stanford does not require but does recommend SAT 2s. If I met my goal on the ACT, I would just go for the Subject tests. However, the deadline for signing up is before I get back my ACT results. So, I was hoping to get some opinions on if I should sign up for the SAT and go for the 2200+ or take the Subject tests?

Both of your scores are really good. I say retake your subject tests because it correlates with your desired major. Many people still get accepted to Stanford with a 2000+. However, i believe it’s all on your PERSONAL STATEMENT. Good Luck.

I’m applying to Stanford too, and I hope we get in. I’m going to apply for regular decision though. (is there a difference?)

@imagine18 If Stanford is your first choice, then I would recommend you apply early action as the acceptance rate is significantly higher. I believe regular is around 9% while early is 15%

bumpppppppppppppp
