I took the SAT for the first time back in December and got 800 M / 800 CR / 730 W (76 MC, 8 essay ). I’m not very good at writing under timed conditions. Is it worth the effort to try to improve this? 730 is still a good score, and I’d think that colleges would look at my essay supplements on my applications. But the 8 essay is a sore spot. Are unbalanced scores a cause for concern?
I’ve gotten an 800 with a 9 essay. Are you sure it’s the essay that’s bringing you down?
Interesting. Maybe it was the curve. Or does the MC really hold that much weight? In that case, is it really worthwhile to spend another $50 and four hours to try to get those last two questions right?
Not at all. A 2330 would be seen as a 2400. And your CR+M is already 1600. Spend your time doing sth else. I guess you wanted to hear this.
