I got a 2240 during the October SAT, and a 2260 for December. My superscore comes out to be a 2290. Should I retake during the January SAT and try for a 2300+? My school is incredibly competitive and puts out 2400s like clockwork, so my score is a little disconcerting. Is it worth the retake?
Your score is perfectly fine for any university, but you have only tested twice. If you don’t mind getting up early and think you have room for improvement, go ahead, but it’s not imperative.
Thank you for the guidance!

Your time would definitely be better spent elsewhere, in my opinion. If you stop obssessing about these kinds of things, you’ll have time to pursue your passions.
IMO, that is fine. I know there will be people who do better, but your time would be beter spent otherwise. I heard that 2250 + are all considered roughly the same, so working on ECs might be a good idea.
Good thing you didn’t need to retake since many Jan administration were cancelled!
Here’s a very similar thread I posted a while back.

In my opinion, your score is already very high and it is unlikely you will be able to improve it dramatically. The time you would spend studying could be better spent doing almost anything else.
