Sorry i know these threads suck I figured I'd be an idiot if I didn't ask others for opinions.

So I got a 2200 (which sounds good but it's split into 630CR 800M 770W)
Should I retake to get the CR up? I looked at the incoming class profile.. And it says 650 is the 25th percentile... But the other scores are the top percentile...

I've only taken it once and I think that I could go 700ish. Is it worth it?
My gpa is 3.8 (school doesn't weight) and I have okay ec's so I think i'll be on the bubble and I want to make the right decisions.

Only take it if you think it’ll improve. Since it seems you do, I say go for it. (My college counselor wanted me to retake the SAT to bring my math up from 700…it actually went down along with W, but CR went to 800 lol…I really didn’t want to take it).

Also, look up some of the skills they teach in SAT courses for CR–I think they really helped me. And practicing with CR is also helpful. But honestly, don’t stress. College admissions is a crap shoot.

Too little information from which to judge.

However, since you are applying for CAS, I do not believe your SAT I score will put you at an appreciable disadvange. Do note, though, that a 630 is by no means particularly satisfactory. You had better write some great essays.

P.S. Link your essays to your extra-curriculars to make the ECs sound more impressive. Do NOT repeat things like “leadership,” “compassion,” etc. which are overdone and boring. Find something truthful and hopefully unique to yourself (I stress the word truthful) and connect it with your ECs. Good luck.
