Retake subject tests?

Hey guys, so I got a 780 on math II and a 770 on chemistry. Is it worth retaking? I have qualified for the AIME and I will be taking AP Chem next year (and probably study for the USNCO). I just took math II after algebra 2 to test what I would get. Will this ruin my chances for good engineering colleges such as caltech? Thanks.

If the score (especially the Math score) is going to bother you every day, just go ahead and retake. You still have some time.

w t f dude Math II has really generous curve right? I remember leaving 6 questions blank and still getting 800

Eh i got a 780 on math II as well. I was really on the fence about retaking it or not. Ended up not retaking, but its whatever. If you feel like you could do better, why not?

@Duaneread That was uncalled for.

To the OP: Your SAT II scores are fine (neither super duper wonderful nor bad). They will not be the things that get you rejected, if that is what the you are asking. Many other factors play into admission, so worry about the rest of your application rather than these two tests.

The 50% mark for the SATII Math 2 is 800, but if you have excellent marks in other math (as well as science) fields then you will be better off, or else I’d say consider retaking the math 2
