I'm a senior applying to college and I got a 1940 on the SAT.
CR- 670
Math- 650
Writing- 620

I've already taken it 3 times but I feel like if I really applied myself I could break 2000 or better. I do so much better on the practice tests and my essays have gotten better. I'm probably getting deferred from my EA schools. This might help get me accepted RD
Does it look that bad to take it 4 times?
Also I have a 3.7 GPA so if my score increases I might look like a slacker. (I'm not.) Will that turn off colleges?

A 3.7 GPA is fine in most regards when juxtaposed with a 2000+ SAT score.

I suggest retaking it and then score-choicing away those other scores. Most schools really only care about superscores anyhow.

Just be sure to sleep well and prep heavily to break that plateau!

What schools are you applying to? It depends what the schools SAT ranges are and such.

Your average is pretty good and I assume that you have taken APs and Honors at some point. I would honestly just stick with a 1940, it isn’t a bad score by any means and if the college you are applying to has a range of 1900-2150 chances are you won’t be denied because of your SAT score. As I mentioned before it depends on which schools you are applying to.

My 3 reaches are
Boston College
Georgetown
Notre Dame
(Can you tell I like Catholic schools?)
