Hi everyone. I just took my subject tests in May and was pretty satisfied; I got an 800 in Chemistry, a 790 in Biology, and a 710 on Math Level II. I understand my Math score is subpar for top notch universities and LACs, so my question is should I not send my Math score to score choice colleges that only require two subject tests? Should I retake it in October? Also, how important are SAT IIs in general and compared to SAT Is? Thanks for your help.

I would retake the Math II if you believe you can get a higher score. Aim for an 800, but of course anything that’s 750+ is a great score. Make sure to go over and understand the concepts… then practice, practice, practice.

Some schools require that you take SAT II’s. MIT, for example, requires that you take one math SAT II and one science SAT II. Others may also require an additional history SAT II.

Good luck in October!

(p.s. your other two scores are fantastic!)
