Retaking a 2250 with a 670 CR?

I got my March scores back (800 M 780 W 670 CR), and I am somewhat happy and somewhat not happy. My CR score really is bringing me down, but I am happy that I got a 2250, which was my prediction for my score a long time ago. Should I retake because I earned such a low CR score? And if so, how can I bring it up? I always have the most trouble on that section, but I can't seem to raise it past a 700.

I’m in the same boat I got 800 M, 760 W, and 690 CR which adds up to a 2250, I really want a higher CR score, but I haven’t decided if I’m going to retake it.

My advice to you is only to retake it if you think that your score will improve significantly (like 720 or better) if not then it’s really not worth it.

I was planning on signing up for the October test and seeing how that goes. I just want the CR score to be above 700 because a 670 is a little low for the colleges I’m looking at.

I was in the same boat as you in December. Everyone told me I was crazy and that my score (2230: 800 W, 770 M, 660 CR) was great and that I was being stupid for retaking my score. But hello! Do you not realize that my CR score is bad??? But I retook the test in March and my score dropped. -_-

cicero_oratore, I would (and I am).
I got 760 M, 780 WR, and 710 CR.
I know I can pull up the CR…
so I’m going to retake it. You too.

Did your entire score drop in all sections or just in CR?

Hmm…yeah, I’ll probably end up retaking and just doing more preparation in August in September. The good thing is that I have two high scores to fall back on for math and writing, so I can put most of my efforts towards uping the CR score. I’d be happy with just a 700, but I would like more if possible.
