Retaking Classes- Good or Bad for Transfer?

Would anybody know if retaking classes (just once for a better grade) would hurt the chances of being accepted into the university you want to transfer to? I’m already retaking a math class because of my poor performance previously, but I’m doing much better. Retaking my math class made me ask what if “I retook my classes with anything that is a C+ and below for an A” Would it give me an advantage or disadvantage?

In my university, apparently the new grade replaces the old grade and so on my transcript it just says retaken.

bump. I think the answer can help other transfer students as well

At my child’s school they can retake up to three classes. My understanding is that the new grade replaces the old GPA but the old grade remains on the transcript.

I’m aware of that but I’m saying like does the university, looks down on it like it’s bad thing? Like will they assume that I did poorly the first time, and so they think I’m not competent enough to do their work by retaking the class?

Depends on how many. At his university they can only take three classes over again so you may want to pick and choose which would benefit you most
