Retaking SAT for 4th time

I took the SAT 3 times my junior year and I'm wanting to take it a 4th time, but I was wondering if this looks really bad.

My 3rd time is my highest in all 3 sections: 2110 (620 reading, 740 math, 750 writing)

Retaking, I would aim for an 800 math & 650 reading to put me at 1450/1600 and 2200/2400.
I have 800 Math II/730 Physics for subject tests already.

Is it worth it to retake or would this look really bad? Top schools I'm applying to are Duke (early decision), Cornell, Penn, WashU, Northwestern

Hi,

Getting a 650 and 800 will not make a difference on your admission decision because the improvement would be small (and let’s not presume that you would get 800 on math – we all know what happens when we underestimate that section  ). If you could get 700+ in CR, then perhaps I think it’d be a good thing to retake because a 620 (also 650) is WELL BELOW the 25th percentile of some of those schools.

BUT, BUT… if any of your colleges want ALL scores, then it’s not a good idea. Of course, you can pick scores and all these days so it doesn’t really look bad. Just ensure that you don’t send all scores when you send them to colleges. I’m pretty sure though that Cornell requires ALL scores? The improvement would have to be really significant to justify retaking it.
