<p>Should I? I have taken the SAT I twice as a junior, and my second and higher score was a 1440. Should I take the test again in December? My verbal score is more than 100 points higher than my math, so there is clearly room for improvement. Would an improvemnt of 50 points or so counteract the negative aspects of taking the SAT more than twice?</p>
<p>three times is fine; I'm willing to bet that 70-80% of college-minded people take it thrice.</p>
<p>I have a similar question. I've taken the SAT twice, once 1440 and later 1480. My best composite is 780 M 700 V. My SAT II scores are 720 writing, 760 physics, 800 math iic, and 750 world history.</p>
<p>I'm applying to Stanford EA. There might be a chance that they would take november scores too. So should I retake SAT I? retake SAT II writing?</p>
<p>i don't think i can improve dramatically (more than 50+) points in either one. Perhaps my SAT I would go up to 1520~ish and SAT II writing up to 750.</p>

<p>if you have the option to take the test a third time, i say go for it. i wanted so bad to be done with standarized tests in june, but i decided to take the sat one last time in october. i'm glad i did because i went up 80 points from my june test without studying.</p>
