Should I take the SAT for a third time?

Hey, I just got back my June SAT scores. I got an 1850, which was my second time taking it (without studying). I few months earlier I had taken the SATs for the first time and also scored an 1850. If you take the best scores, the composite is a 1900. Do you think I should study over the summer for the October SAT and take it for a third time? I was really aiming for a 2000.

March SAT

CR: 590
M: 600
W: 660
Total: 1850

June SAT

CR: 580
M: 650
W: 620
Total: 1850

If you think you can improve, go for it. I personally improved from a 2120 to a 2290 to a 2320 (took the test 3 times); with a 2350 superscored. Other CC members have had similar experiences.

I agree with the post above. If you think that you coud get a higher score by taking it a third time, then go for it. If you think it will be way too stressful, then don’t.
