Retaking the SAT a "third" time

So im planning on taking the retaking the SAT a third time(4th time taking it) in October which is during my senior year. I asked my college counselor and he said that as long as there is substantial improvement on this one, colleges won't look down on it too much. However, I would like to hear what everyone thinks about this and whether it will be frowned upon by the colleges without score choice.

Will the colleges consider the years I took it and how far the test dates are separated? The second and third times were only separated by two months and I had literally no time to study in between. Also, the first time I took it, which was in my sophomore year, I utterly failed, but I took it relatively early.

Scores

First time(Sophomore year....I have no idea why I took it here.)-1530
Second Time (Junior year-October)-1930
Third Time (Junior year-December(required by school))-1990
Superscore so far: 2070; 610 CR, 770 M, 690 W, 11 Essay
I am already going hardcore with the studying and plan to continue to do it for the rest of this summer and improve my score by around 200 points.

I think you should try again in the fall because even your third attempt is earlier than many students even take it for the first time.

Good luck!

Check what colleges your applying to allow score choice, because most do. Also taking it 4 times is a little excessive especially if you don’t think you will break like 2150, single sitting.

If you can score substantially higher, take it again.

You should get your CR 610 up. A 770 M won’t make up for such a low CR, especially when it is superscored. Your CR + Math is only 1380/1600, which is not very impressive. Also try to get your Writing at least 700.
