Can you sell back books that you have highlighted in? Do they really exam the books you sell back?

it's always worth a shot ...

book buy back is such a rip off, they give u like 1/3 of the cost and then sell it for 2/3rds used.

try craigslist

I half.com everything--both buying and selling

you can return them with writing, underlining, highlighting.. doesn't matter (they rarely check- every time i've gone they scanned the books and gave me the money without checking them). Usually they do rip you off. I bought a brand new book last year (I had to) for over fifty and returned it in near-perfect condition, and only got about twenty for it. So, yeah, the internet is probably a better way to go.

Although today I turned in four small, used paperback books and got twenty (which is more than half what I paid for them..) so it really depends on what you have....

it depends on the supply of the book you are returning. If the bookstore has plenty of the books already then they won't give you much for your book. If they are out and looking for that particular book, then you will get paid good.

The worse part is that fact that book buy-back is usually finals week. I mean, who would sell their book before they've taken their final? So stupid...
