Returning after a suspension

I was put on indefinite suspension from my university last year. I have took about a year and a half off from school and I am ready to go back. I have the option of submitting a readmission essay to my previous university and going in front of a readmission committee. I also considered going to a community college and making good grades to prove to the committee that I am more determined to continue my education. But I read that in the student handbook, classes I take while on suspensions from other school will not transfer over once I am readmitted. Other than going back to my original university, what are my other options? Can I transfer only my good credits to another university? Someone told me that when transferring, only your passing grades will transfer. I’m just looking for other options other than going back to my original university. TIA!

Why did you get suspended?

Contact the school directly to ask. Nobody here can answer your questions with 100% certainty.

Taking classes at a CC would show that you are capable of doing college level work. It could be a big help in either getting reinstated or transferring.
