Returning Student - Given No Financial Aid

I’m an incoming Sophomore next year at USC.

I got an email saying that my FAST page had been updated but when I went there there was absolutely nothing. No loans or grants or anything. This differs from what I had last year for Freshman year for financial aid.

However, under Aid Status it says “This page currently does not have a status because your Financial Aid Summary does not include any aid funds. Your status will be updated if and when you apply for loans or receive a scholarship or need-based grant.”

Sooo does this mean they are still reviewing my application? Or does it mean I just didn’t get any Financial Aid? And if they are just still reviewing my application, why would they send me an email saying my Financial Aid page has updated - only to have an empty page?

I don’t remember, but isn’t USC financial aid spotty - like they keep updating the page throughout? Or is this final?

Did you refile FAFSA and CSS (if required)? Did your FAFSA process? You should at least have the federal loans on your portal.

When it’s final you will get a message that your FA is complete that will clearly say “complete.” They do updates, throughout, yes. Did you look at missing items? As mentioned above did you submit your FAFSA and CSS? (which is required)

@twoinanddone @CADREAMIN Yes, I’ve submitted both the FAFSA and CSS. The FAST page also doesn’t say I have any missing items and there’s nothing in the required documents library :frowning: The loans only show up under “How Can I Cover My Estimated Remaining Cost?” and it says I can apply for them on my own - but there’s no broad “Loans/Category D” heading like there used to be. I’m sure you’re acquainted with how the FA page looks but I’m not sure if this all makes sense please let me know if its confusing! @CADREAMIN where would this “complete” notification be? I looked at the emails from the FA office for last year and I only had emails that said it was “recently updated” but can’t find anywhere where it would say “complete”
