Evolving, how did you know that your FA was in? I checked the new esuite but nothing noted. Did you get email? Is it on Albert? Thanks

milkandsugar,

S got email from NYU FA office and forwarded to me. He was like low key about it. I said
If you are too busy let me check Albert for you. So I got into the account
First time. Followed directions. Went to academics. Then
Accept or Decline FA. Voila. Did not work last night 6 hours after S received email.
Checked this AM early. 2012 package available! You should see your D’s soon.

By the way, I kept checking esuite and it was not the right place to go to. Fairly certain you have to go through Albert at this time.

Thank you!

You are very welcome, I hope you and D will hear soon.

Is Net Partner now obsolete? Also, is it me or is something missing from the Financial Aid accept page. Where is the section that used to give you messages that said what documents were complete/incomplete.

Too many changes. New Albert/FA, new id cards, new e-mails etc.

codys,

You have to login to the NYUHome Albert Account. Look for “Financial Aid” Section. Underneath that is the “Student Center”. Click on this. This will lead you to information about the FA package and any outstanding paperwork you need to take care of.

My question is what is the deadline for completing promissory notes? The note in the Albert Account states to turn in paperwork “in a timely manner.” Also, the range of dates for loan promissory forms is 5/1/11 to 8/1/11. Does that mean the deadline is 8/1/11? Still trying to decide about the federal plus loan. How much time do I have?

Evolving - not sure on deadline because I am always in such a hurry to get them done (before they change their mind!!!) - but it helps to have them done BEFORE that first tuition payment is due so they count the proceeds against your balance. Same is true on the student loans (Stafford subsidized and unsubsidized) - you really want NYU to have those on record before you get your bill from the bursar.

Thanks, writestuff,

That helps. I also want to attend to paperwork asap but want to have a little more time to think about the loans.

Just wondering, have all of you who applied received your packages? I have yet to receive mine. Maybe its time to write an email to the financial aid office…

Yep, jetblk, It is time to call or email them. You should get an idea of when you can expect to have your FA package, even if they have not gotten to it because of the volume.

We have not received anything as of yet, also my D checked in with her friend, an upcoming senior in CAS and he has not received anything as well.

My son, an incoming sophomore at Stern, has not received his FA.

bumping this up…who hasn’t received their returning FA yet?

As of Sunday, my daughter still has not received her FA yet. I am not suprised because last summer, we did not get anything til sometime on July.
