Reusing personal statements?

<p>I've attended a community college in California for the past two years (I'm currently in the fall semester of the second year), and I'm caught up with my transfer req. classes that I have gone over with my counselor (I'm only taking one class next semester, because I've completed everything else).</p>

<p>A little background information is that I applied to UCI as a high school senior as a Psychology major, and I got Waitlisted, then accepted. However, due to personal circumstances, I had to go to a CC.</p>

<p>I'm planning to reapply now, and I noticed that one of the prompts is the same as last year's. I was wondering if reusing and editing my old Personal Statement would hurt me in any way, as opposed to starting from scratch?</p>
