Seems like everybody else is starting a thread their own perspective colleges :)
Well, this one's for Revelle.
Let's open this thread for people who have questions (hopefully not about how hard the GE requirements are!) seems like we have too many of those.
I'll start off with one question I have.
How does the housing system work? I've turned in my housing application and when we pick our rooms? and do we pick our own dorms? and roomates? do we get to pick those?

I’ve turned in my housing application and when we pick our rooms? you pick it later maybe like late may/early june? it’ll give you short questionnaire like when do you prefer to sleep, do you smoke/drink, do you tolerate smoking/drinking etc.
and do we pick our own dorms? no you do not pick your own dorms. Just hope that you get into argo (the best building fosho!)
and roomates? do we get to pick those? You can request roommates. I never did but i’m pretty sure there’s a form you have to fill out…at freshman orientation (june-julyish) a lot of people met and decided that they clicked/wanted to room with each other and i remember them filling out forms. Both the people (or all the people if you’re in a triple) have to request each other for you guys to get it. If you don’t decide to request roommates (majority of people) it’s just randomized. I luckily got put with super awesome people whom i am rooming with again next year as a 2nd year.</p>
<p>LOL @ above poster, BLAKE is by far the best residence hall, I guarantee you that :)</p>

<p>Hope that you get Blake, cause there’s even a kitchen on the fourth floor only accessible to the two floors of Blake (: You’re also right across from POTS and Plaza, and if you’re lucky, you get a nice view of York Hall/Revelle Plaza (: </p>

Heard that it was a harder college, but its a challenge that’ll help us in the future
Graduate schools may not look at which college we went too, but they will surely look at what classes we took and i think the well rounded ge requirements, although hard, may benefit us in the end if we do well

but, seriously, i think you’re right. it’s probably gonna help us in the long run…hopefully I’ll keep that thought running through my head nonstop while i’m suffering through that HUM sequence haha ;)</p>

<p>NICE TRY RADIANCE! there’s a kitchen and a lounge on EVERY floor of argo (that’s six!)</p>
<p>Wrong to both of you, nobody will do anything if you sneak into other floors/buildings to use their kitchen facilities and Argo only has FIVE floors of suites and kitchen areas.</p>

<p>But yes, Blake rules. It’s quieter and there’s less competition for the elevators since it’s essentially dominated by Blake 3 people.</p>

I’m really excited. i visited once last summer but that was just for a campus tour and we couldn’t do anything else after that b/c it started raining. so hopefully this visit’ll be more in depth. i heard they’re going all out for admit day too, so its gonna be good (; i hope. ahaha! i’m giving up dcon for this, so it better be good! haha just kiddinggg (:</p>
