Revoke acceptance at Johns Hopkins

Yo! so im probably going to have one C in my final grades. Do you think i will get my acceptance to johns hopkins revoked? everything else is an A or B. Thanks.

Almost certainly not. Unless you start failing stuff, you’ll get academic probation for a semester. But even that is unlikely.

As long as your final semester’s GPA isn’t too far off from the GPA you applied to JHU with, then you should be okay.

i.e. if you get a 3.0 this semester and you applied with a 3.8 you might be in a bit of trouble, but you still probably won’t get rescinded

You should try your hardest to get that C up. Explain your situation to your teacher and ask if there is any sort of extra credit you can do to bring that grade up. No teacher wants a senior to get his admission revoked so I’m sure he/she will be reasonable about the situation. But don’t slack! Finish your high school career strong! :)

1 C should not be a problem. Ds and Fs garner attention for sure. And several Cs also garner attention. What could happen if there are several Cs or even lower grades, the school could put you on academic probation right as you enter. They basically just tell you that you need a minimum GPA first semester or there will be consequences. My Ds friend entered Cornell with that situation for getting a C and a D her last semester of high school.
