@yohomie1 Very possible. See what happened at UC Santa Cruz to one kid in his/her own words.

As for Georgetown, they would consider your final year as well. Time to do some damage control.

Good Luck!!! Hopefully they over look this transgression.

Wow… well that link just scared the crap out of me… does anyone have an experience of BC either revoking their acceptance or not revoking despite similar grades? I believe i can get it up to all Bs and maybe 1 C by the end of the year, but itll be though

hey you guys should join the class of 2016 BC facebook page! I think that this was discussed on there.
I would try to bring your grades up a bit, but honestly your not going to get your admission revoked, you may get on academic probation though. I think that was the conclusion that we came to.
Still try to bring them up at least a bit though

I think they would be unlikely to rescind based on those grades. Just don’t get a D. I imagine you’re even safer if you didn’t apply for financial aid. As everyone has said, do your best the rest of the semester.

Wait, so you’re saying that you dont think ill be “unaccepted” even if my second semester grades are basically all Cs? Anyone else know anything about this?

Not to be condescending… Time to get your act together kid… There are a lots of kids out there that would have love to have been accepted to a school like BC. Does it really matter what the folks on CC really think? What really matters is what BC admissions office thinks.

As T26E4 would say, “Get off CC and go concentrate on getting them grades back up” :)

Yohomie1:
Cahsparent worded it very well.

Here is another way of looking at it:

Every year as BC tries to build the best accepted student body it can, it has to either waitlist or say no to thousands of students it would gladly accept if it had space. Why would you ever want to jeopardize your acceptance by showing BC that once you got accepted, it was OK to goof off.

No one on this forum can tell you how BC will react. But BC knows very well there are thousands of students eagerly waiting for the chance to take your place.

I would get those grades up. Two reasons: 1. They totally could rescind you 2. College is gonna be a helluva lot harder than high school so you don’t want to develop bad habits.
