<p>On the Rice/Baylor Application, one of the essay topics was "Describe the most difficult adversity you have faced, and describe how you dealt with it". On the CommonApp, one of the essay prompts was "What was your biggest failure and how did you overcome it?" </p>

<p>Aren't those the same exact thing? Is it ok if I submitted basically the same essay for both of them? Does Baylor see the CommonApp essays? And if they do, do you think they'll frown upon me for writing the same essay twice?</p>

<p>I think it doesn’t really matter, because your application to Baylor will only be reviewed after you are admitted to Rice. So I assume that Baylor wouldn’t bother reading your CommonApp essay.</p>
