I received a Rice Interim Decision acceptance today. They included the Medical Scholars Program application, which requires three short essays. I feel that for one of the questions-my essay for Rice answers it quite well-could I use the same one-or Baylor College of Medicine or Rice (which school selects the finalists?) simply see the same essay again and be like "wow" this kid lacks creativity.

well according to the letter rice sent, we sign under where it says, "I hereby authorize Rice University to make available to BCM all of my admission application materials for the purpose of determining my eligibity for the Medical Scholars Program." so, i dont know if it would be acceptable to recycle or reuse our essays.

Do not do that if you want to be a competitive applicant for the program. It's true that I don't know for a fact whether or not they look at your Rice app, but why risk it if it could be the difference between you becoming a finalist or not?
