Rice essays

I'm worried I went a little too deep on this portion of my essay? Let me know what you think.

A curious mind? Sometimes it’s frightening to think about what we as individuals don’t know. From space travel to death to the matter in which we are composed, our existence is a fusion of ambiguity we either accept as reality or question in an effort to perhaps find something beyond our limits. While life forever continues with the rising of the sun, discovery does not. Life is all we have and so much of it is shadowed by doubt in ourselves that we can contribute to something great. Discovery will not come through ignorance. Discovery will not come from waiting or praying. Discovery is a passage one must bind their heart and soul to; a passage that so many feel, but simply choose to ignore. Why can’t we embrace a new kind of life journey? A journey where we learn to question not what has been carved in stone but what remains unknown. I stand today with purpose unique from those around me. I stand showing possibility for I will not cower in the face of uncertainty. As long as I encounter mystery, I will draw my weapon and ask “Why?”

I just showed this to my son - it seems the two of you have a very similar writing style! He is wondering if you played Golden Sun or any similar fantasy RPG.

BTW, great excerpt!
