Rice ID.

hii...
i'm not sure whether i should apply ID or RD.
rank 1/513
SAT I : 640 V, 680 M, 700 W
SAT IIs: will be taking them this weekend.. i think the scores should be similar to my SAT I scores
ECs: shadow a doctor, key club(secretary), international club (treasurer), quest club (secretary), NHS ... a lot of school stuff
over 300 hours at the hospital
Started a community service organization outside of school
in the local fashion board
Jobs include: modeling, and the Kumon Learning Center
my gpa.. is a 4.68.

I think my standardized scores are really bad.. i'm taking the ACT on the 9th and i think.. tht score should be higher than my SAT scores.

i realllllly want to get in to the Rice/Baylor program that is why im applying ID but i think i should just wait and apply RD so that i have a shot at actually making it... do any of you actually think i have a chance?
please be honest.
Thanks :)

You MUST apply ED or ID for Rice/Baylor! RD is too late for consideration.

what's your intended major

my intended major is premed.
Well, thats what i was saying.. maybe i shouldn't apply to the rice/baylor program.. that way i'll have more time on my application. With my stats right now i don't really think i have a chance of being accepted into Rice.

rice doesn't have a premed major HTH.

then.. biology.

hmm....I'm asking this is in a friendly, convince me, sort of way

what makes you unique....

I suppose... modeling. Also, Indian dance.. hmm, actually it would be inappropriate to call it "indian dance" because i incorporate elements of jazz and salsa. I've mentored a doctor for a year now, i shadow him every week. I've helped bring Key Stones ( a community service organization) to town. I have various leadership positions at school. I'm the Valedictorian (as of now). I choreograph for ethnic events... am i just rambling now?

believe me any advice will be greatly appreciated.
thank you.

Just so you don't make the same mistake in an application essay or something: You are not mentoring the doctor. You are shadowing him, and he is, perhaps, mentoring you.

hmm.....vals, dance, shadowing a lot of r.b canidates have....and r/b is the hardest combined prog to get into

it does have a premed on the bottom. just check it.
