Rice Midyear Report

Uh .... I'm sorta not doing so hot in my senior year.

LOL it isn't that bad. But just about anything other than an A is a stark contrast compared to my perfect 4.0 junior year (with 4 APs, two IBs, and four science courses, mind you).

Let's say I get accepted to Rice ED .... just what will get me rejected in terms of midyear grades?

Put it this way, do your best. If you can bring up your grades, then do it. Make sure everything is a B or higher.

Are there strict guidelines - e.g. you must maintain a 3.5 throughout senior year?

Is there any empirical evidence regarding what’ll work and what won’t?

Anyone get rejected after the midyear report was sent?

Bottom line what happens when I get a C?

According to what I’ve read (which is for Dartmouth, not Rice) any C on your mid-year report will cause you to be re-evaluated. However, if you have only one C and it is in a class like AP Calculus, you should be fine.
