Rice signature form?

"Fill in the box to the right with something that
appeals to you" it states on the form.

What are we supposed to do. Put a picture of someone/something, write something? Or is it just completely up to us to do with it as we wish?

oh, and if I'm submitting the commonapp online, do I even need the signature form?

It's a free space.
What goes inside is up to you.
Most importantly, be yourself.

anything means??
Appeals to you can be a picture of car tires (not me.. but random)
is that acceptable?

Or dogs appeal to me? or Soccer... poctures will suffice?

yup. those would all be acceptable.

I wanted to put a picture of redi-whip in mine, because i LOVE that stuff, but my dad talked me out of it. He said it could have weird connotations. Personally, I'm still sorry i didn't.

cool. thanks a lot

i want to put in a color photo of a delicious cheesecake.

but im too afraid :)

jenskate.. what did u put
and stupidestofthesmart, thst funny...

a tip my friend gave me (her dad used to work at rice):
think outside the box.
don't NOT put anything inside it.. but don't view the edges as a boundary.
;)
hope that helped.

also feel free to put something 3D in there. I heard an interesting story about a guy who put a key in the box. The key was to a locker in the Rice building. When the admissions officers opened the locker, a lot of yellow tennis balls and one black one rolled out. When they opened the black one it had a slip of paper in it that said "I'm not like all the other Asians."
i think someone else shrank their poetry into a tiny book and put it in.
there are all sorts of cool stories.

whatever you do, don't put grains of rice in it, hahahah

Hah that tennis ball story is the greatest!

I wonder how he pulled that off?
