rice v ucsd for premed

well guys, where should I go. On on hand, the grade inflation and prestige of rice is tempting me. On the other hand, the fact that ucsd has the no.2 bioengineering program in the nation is tempting me. Also, ucsd is $15k cheaper per year.

Has Rice offered you any scholarships? Do you expect to get some financial aid?

nope. I am considered int'l by rice but instate for ucsd

undoubtedly, ucsd. Its science and bioengineering departments/curriculum are outstanding. And you can put the $60,000 you will be saving towards med school.

Unless you need serious financial aid which Rice has not provided you, this is a no-brainer; go to Rice. Its prestige and renown in terms of the life sciences on the undergraduate level will serve you in good stead when you're applying to graduate or medical schools.
