What's a reasonable amount of money throughout the year someone should expect to earn if they work a reasonable amount of hours a work, and for that matter, what is a reasonable amount of hours to work per week if you want to be able to balance social life, sports, academics?

Working 10 hrs/week for $10/hr during the school year (like I did) will get you over $2,500 for the year. 10 hrs/wk is the minimum for many jobs on campus, but of course there’s flexibility since you’re a student. On weeks when you need to work less for school stuff you can just let your supervisors know in advance, and for weeks in which you can work more hours there are often opportunities to do so. That way, you can earn as much as your schedule permits.
