Richmond Plays for the FCS National Championship!

Hello all--

On Friday night at 8:00 p.m., Richmond kicks-off against the University of Montana Grizzlies in the National Championship game of the Football Championship Series (FCS used to be called I-AA--it's slightly smaller schools than the behemoth BCS division). We are so proud of our team for the great season they've played and the poise they have shown through a very long season!

You can see the game on ESPN2 and ESPN360.com. We hope you'll tune in, wear Red for Richmond and cheer on the Spiders! There will be Spider alumni gatherings all across the country and some around the world too!

We do hope you'll take time to watch the Spiders! (And don't expect postings from me on Friday or Saturday--I'll be making the drive to Chattanooga for the game and I'm so psyched!).

I am so excited for this/them! Have a FABULOUS time at the game, UR Admissions! I'm sure all the current, past, and future Spiders will be with you in spirit!

All: Please don't forget that you can catch the game on ESPN2 tonight at 8:00 p.m. or online. Cheer loudly for our Spiders!!

Ah, nobody posted the results!

Richmond won its first national title last night :) Almost a shut out, final score of 24-7, I believe.

What a great night! It was such a ball, seeing so many Richmond fans from many generations all there together celebrating this terrific team. I'm so glad I went! Congratulations Spiders!
