Rising Junior, Check in

Hey, just finished soph year

Am I on the right track?

I have around a 3.2 GPA UW (working my ass off junior/senior year projected to end up around 3.5 UW), with soph year being an improvement from freshman

Male/White

4 years of Chinese experience, in addition i'll end up with 3 semesters of chinese at a prestigious liberal arts college

At a very competitive (multiple kids going to mit/harvard, acceptances to oxford and most of the ivies) small public high school in the north east

I take mostly honors classes whenever available (AP Chem/Eng next year). Had one D in honors alg 2 ( currently working on that being changed, class was a catastrophe, stayed after every single day for help with teacher)

Very strong ADHD. 131 Verbal IQ (just trying to give you a feel for the type of student I am)

650 Math and English on PSATs, top 5% nationally

Just had my 504 processed, will have extra time/possible access to computer for SATs

SATs should be good

4 years of mandarin chinese experience

I'm looking at a few colleges right now, and want to know how i'll stack up

Reed very interested (uncle ex board, still involved)
Bard
UCSD
Northwestern
Oberlin
Lewis and Clarke
Goucher
Skidmore
McGill
Kenyon
UC Davis
Occidental
Colby
Macalester

I give one hell of an interview

internship at community access television station, C.I.T. at chinese language camp, frisbee team, Improv Club, Unitarian Youth Group, freshmen class treasurer, Work with city council

I just want to know how I stack up

Bump! Please guys/gals

You seem to have a pretty good list of colleges for your credentials. With the exception of Northwestern, Colby, and perhaps UCSD if youre out of state, I’d say the rest are pretty good matches. However, you will want to work on your extracurriculars. Involve yourself deeply in something you’re passionate about. That’s what sets certain students apart from others. Good luck!
Chance me back?

wha… you mean you can look up definitions and stuff?
And how do you have ADHD with a 131 IQ? Just curious

No, just for the writing section of it. bsmd11

I suffer in executive function, not in verbal processing. My GAI and FISQ are lower, but I digress

You seem to have a strong chance for most of the schools you listed. As the above poster stated, you will want to get involved in more extracurriculars this and your senior year. Also, if you can, try and raise your unweighted GPA up a bit so you can have a stronger chance at schools such as Northwestern and USCD.

Chance me?

I agree with OldArnold.

Chance my cousin for UCLA and other UC’s?

You seem to have a solid list. However, Northwestern is just too big of a reach to have on your list. Bard will also be a big reach as well. The other schools seem plausible. Good luck with the application!!!

Please chance back. My thread is “Review my List… Please”
