Rising Second Year: COMM School Question

I'm a rising second year and have an interest in applying to McIntire. I am also a transfer student and because of this did not take many of the required classes at my previous LAC. This semester I am taking ECON 201, Math 121, SPAN 160, ENWR 1510, and I'm trying to swap my EVSC 2030 for COMM 1800. I guess next semester I will have to take COMM 2010 and STAT 2120. I know that I am very behind, but I do have an interest in applying and am only a rising second year. Should I still apply? At my previous school I had a 3.965 GPA. Thanks!

You also need to find a way to fit in COMM 2020 managerial accounting. You should see if any your classes transfer to fulfill ENWR 1510 so you can take COMM 2010 this semester and COMM 2020 next semester. How are you looking on your area requirements? Remember that if you get into McIntire the only requirement which is dropped is your second writing requirement.

Your biggest problem right now however is not completing your foreign language requirement on time. It is required by McIntire that you complete the foreign language requirement before enrolling into the school (look at the bottom of the page provided by this link).

Find a way to get spanish taken care of fast…

I plan on taking SPAN 160 this semester, SPAN 2010 during J-Term, and then SPAN 2020 for Spring. As for my other area requirements, I will be done my math/science by next semester and will only need a fine arts and history. I"m also currently trying to get exempt from the first writing requirement as I took a class very similar to ENWR at my previous school. Hopefully it all works out.
