RIT-Rolling Admissions

@jmowen - saw this on rit.edu admissions for transfer students, so you should be good to go, but you might want to confirm by emailing admissions. Good luck to you!

My son just received his acceptance letter today! He applied RD in November.

I just saw your posting so I checked my sons portal and it now says it wants a final transcript and there is a link saying to pay the application fee. I assume this is good news. Think I am going to run out to the mail box.

Bummer- nothing yet. He is also RD and a November application. Based on his stats he should get in but you never know.

I just received my acceptance letter came in mail. I was accepted into the packing science program which I heard has a higher accepted rate. Does anyone know how the financial aid in RIT is?

Just wondering where everyone who has heard today is located. East Coast?

We are in Chicago and no letter has arrived yet. For those who got their letters did your portal change so it now asks for a final transcript and added a link to pay the application fee? (I would have thought it would be called a deposit so I may be misconstruing the meaning of that link. I just don’t recall seeing it before.)

We are in upstate NY. The letter was dated Feb 18. We are not that far away from Rochester, so it only took a day or two to reach us. When we log into the portal, there is a checklist asking for a final transcript with a status of “initiated” when I review the checklist details, but I don’t see anything about a deposit. Hopefully you have some good news on your way soon!

I just got my acceptance into the Computer Science program. Like Amrjmom, I am in upstate New York. I think everyone will get their letters in the next few days.

My daughter got her letter today: admitted to the College of Health Science and Technology, major in biomedical science. She applied sometime during the last week of December. We live in Brooklyn, NYC.

@gamergal27 my S also applied RD to the game design program. We’re in Maryland and didn’t get a letter in the mail today but the portal status also requests the final transcript (we already paid the application fee). Fingers crossed we get good news in the next day or two.

My son’s portal changed requesting final transcript so hopefully it is a good sign. We are on the West Coast so hopefully we will get it soon.

My daughter’s letter arrived today. She applied RD in late October and we are also in upstate NY - north of Albany. I noticed the request for final transcript on her portal earlier this week. She will be in the museum studies program. Good luck everyone!

For those of you have been accepted, does the Portal change to reflect Acceptance?

D’s portal only says “pay application fee” no send final transcipt. Bummer.

My son received his acceptance package today. Portal has “final transcript”, doesn’t say “accepted” anywhere.

I was accepted yesterday by mail. My portal is requesting “Final High School Transcript.” However the portal does not yet mention my acceptance.

I find it so odd that they don’t mention ones acceptance on the portal. WPI had a link to click on the decision letter and then a link to this special accepted students page. It was pretty cool.

Just wondering if acceptance letters indicated merit aid or if that comes separately next month with need based aid awards.

I just reread this thread from the beginning and ED applicants said their portal did make it clear they were accepted even before they got the snail mail. Odd we aren’t seeing that now.
