I'm going to start my road test on Monday. >.<
I'm really scared, I need to practice backing/parking more and making some turns...
Please share advice and/your experiences with your tests?! (:

It’s really no big deal (at least in my state), I just had to drive around a few blocks, reverse a little bit, and then park again. Usually the guy will understand your nervousness, and hopefully understand that your driving will improve once you can drive by yourself a little bit.

By all means practice what you need to practice, but don’t fret too much about it :)

I did mine on four inches of snow, which made the examiner extremely forgiving.

The main thing is to just take your time. There is absolutely no reason you should speed, rush your turns, or try to park like the stunt drivers in the movies. I assure you that the examiner will not take off points for being too slow.

ive pushed mine off for so long, finally taking it sometime this summer (im closing in on a year with my permit)

Mine told me to speed up when I was going the speed limit. I told him I was going to the speed limit. He told me speed up or I would get run over. I got pulled over. I failed AND have to pay the ticket. ■■■.

o.O ^

Well, on back roads I tend of drive right next to or on the yellow line, and I still do. My instructor always annoyed me about that. He was very lax though. We were doing a practice run for the tests the next day. At the end of the practice he said that was it, and me and the other person in the car didn’t have to go the next day. Anyways, it’s not that bad at all.

Exaggerate looking both way on a stop sign, or when ever you have to look around. (K-Turn, uphill parking etc). Also drive slowly, sometimes they may surprise you on a turn.

You can actually be cited for going slower than the flow of traffic, so he was correct.

Anyone who fails their driving test in North America shouldn’t be driving. It’s so damn easy.

I know quite a few people that are very smart in my grade that failed their road tests. It was always because of parallel parking.

Lol, you’ve never driven in either NJ or NY, have you? Between tailgating at 70mph on Route 1 and bumper-to-bumper traffic in NYC, driving can really get on your nerves.

Anyway, the place I went to only required K-turns, a roundabout, and parallel parking in addition to driving on the open road. Not too bad, and the grading was really lenient.

I didn’t even have to parallel park for my test. o.O

PARALLEL PARKING CHEAT
ok here’s what you’re gonna do- fool proof parking method
back up the way you normally would
when you’re done backing up, you wanna pull up the handbrake, turn the wheels to the right, and floor it
works like a charm
***make sure you have a good handbrake before you try this or you will go flying into the car in front of you

that’s a basic explanation of what to do
if you want to perfect it, read through the comments

oh yeah btw if you can’t move all four wheels, the only thing that will happen is you looking a jackass who doesn’t know how to drive

^ That only works in a FWD car…

Parallel parking is fairly simple anyways. I didn’t have to do it as part of my test

I actually failed the parking part of my test, and they still passed me.
I didn’t even finish my parallel parking and my instructor was like ‘alright let’s go drive!’
thank goodness!
don’t worry, you’ll be fine as long as you’ve been driving for a while.
