I'm deciding between the Rochester and Case Western for biomedical engineering. They both gave me similar scholarships, but Case would be a little cheaper. Any thoughts?

They’re both very good schools. I suggest spending some time on the websites and maybe trying to find some undergrads - who are probably really busy right now with finals, etc. coming up - to see if there’s a meaningful difference in your mind.

Nephew was between those two schools, and actually was leaning toward Case until he visited both. Case is much more urban, on city streets. UR is more of a traditional campus. His preference, of course.

For science majors - would Case be more difficult?

Nah, they are both tough academically. But UR makes it a policy to provide much flexibility is assembling your program of coursework.

They’ll both require work. How hard they are is a measure of your ability, but they’ll be similar.

I think Case requires a year of physical ed., which is weird. But you should look at curriculum requirements to see which fits better.
