<p>So I'm 5th in my class of 470 and I have school-wide and regional science awards, yet I didn't get in. I've never been more disappointed/butthurt in my life. For those who applied, I'm curious about whether you got in and what your stats and ECs were. </p>

How was your essay?</p>
<p>yeah i applied at the last minute too. i wrote my essay on an article about visual deprivation altering neural circuitry in mice. i probably had more jargon/equations than a good amount of applicants. however, in retrospect, i should’ve written about molecular bio since that’s what most people research there. </p>
<p>I’ll tell you my essay topic after i get my decision, but I think mine was decent. It was sort of molecular bio-ish… we’ll see though. Sorry to hear you didn’t get in. I know the feeling too well.</p>
