Rolling admissions for contract colleges and Hotel?

<p>So after looking around on past threads on cc, Seems like rolling admissions apply to contract colleges and Hotel schools? Or is it different this year where everyone gets their decision on March 28th? That's what I was told by the admissions office. Someone explain?</p>

<p>…now why would the Contract Colleges be any different than the Endowed colleges? No “rolling admission”… where did you get that from?</p>

<p>Contract schools and Hotel are not bound by Ivy’s notification date. They may choose to admit some of their top applicants earlier. CoE and A&S send out likely letters instead. Most applicants are notified on the same date.</p>

<p>Oh I see. Yes, I asked admissions and they said all decisions come out March 28th. But I was confused when I saw past threads(Hotel and ILR schools)that people got decisions earlier than “Ivy Day”.</p>

<p>I think I stumbled across this on Cornell’s site somewhere but cannot find the source now. I don’t know why Hum Ec is not listed but Hotel is.
“Letters are mailed beginning February 15 for Cornell’s College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, School of Hotel Administration, and School of Industrial and Labor Relations, and beginning in February for the School of Nursing at Penn.”</p>

<p>This cannot be where I found the info since the wording is slightly different but I believe this is part of the joint or uniform Ivy League notification.</p>

<p>Curious if any parents know. When did Ivy League notification date change from April 15th to April 1st?</p>

If u see the first page financial aid materials are due on 15 feb and just below that u have the notification (1st April)
And now read the text in red
Is says that the hotel school starts giving out acceptance letters in the beginning of march.
So probably they will be out in 2 weeks. </p>

<p>Yeah, I checked RD threads for last year and the year before and it seems like most people received their letters for Hotel, ILR, and CALS (although I heard CALS isn’t rolling this year…I could be wrong) around March 5. I’m so nervous!</p>

<p>CALS is no longer doing rolling admissions, or what they now call Early Notification. Only ILR and Hotel. And most people won’t receive one.</p>

<p>I got an acceptance from ILR today. It wasn’t a likely, it was an admissions decision.</p>
