Rolling admissions

And just to throw another monkey wrench in there - my D did quite well at her early auditions. She did not end up feeling like they were worse than the later ones. The only one she felt wasn’t her best was the last one at Unifieds, because she was getting sick. Your D may do really well from the get go. Most of our kids are really used to auditions; it is the interview part that can throw them. If you are worried about that, have her do a few mock interviews at home to practice.

The only BFA my D got into was her first audition of the season…she felt her last was her best…so it’s impossible to predict :)

OCU does rolling admissions. They usually have a November date and will let you know something within 3-4 weeks of your audition. One more experience to share: some schools had more scholarship money to give early in the process. As students accept, their pool of available funds gets smaller. And many scholarship deadlines were October/November. So even if you aren’t auditioning until February or March, if you want to be considered for academic and talent money, get these applications in early so you can be considered.

Thank you, @vvnstar! Great info! My D will be auditioning at OCU among her first schools in the fall.

In past years Michigan MT did rolling (we heard one week after audition)… this year they let everyone know at the same time.

Update to Emerson comment - it’s early action - not early decision
