Rolling Decisions for CALS, ILR, and Hotel

Congratulatios on your acceptance to the Hotel School. I would love to know what your "real" hook was...my daughter is applying next year and any help would be most appreciated and most necessary!! Thanks! You can PM me if you do not wish to post here.

Again, heartfelt congratulations!

I'm not sure what ach44's secret hook was, but maybe its something like mine: connections at the top of the hospitality industry that offered Cornell their opinion of me... I feel I deserved the recommendations I received, and I'm confident that the recs gave me the necessary extra edge.

wait when did you decision come out?

congratulations ach44!!! if we haven't gotten our decision yet, it probably means we're not getting in right?

the rest of the decisions should come out on the 29th

My letter was postmarked for March 12 but since I was away on vacation, I didn't recve it until i got back. I'm sure that I would have received it

o.. now I understand. I thought you were accepted on 3/22, which got me worried because supposedly the hotel school accepted a small amount of people before 3/15 on a rolling basis. The rest of the applicants all get their responses on 3/29. So I couldn't understand before how u got accepted on the 22nd. I thought I was really gonna get rejected because I haven't heard yet.

does it say on the online status checker? most ppl seem to be finding out by snail mail

yah i want to know if ppl have found out online or by snail mail, because this person told me that ppl who applied to hotel can only find out by snail mail. is this true? i hope its a rumor........ cuz its gna take forever to arrive where im living

I found out by mail but i imagine that the online decision will be available on the 29th.

if anyone still looks at this..

jaymz07: so you can send in your ilr resume postmarked, say 11/2, even if the commonapp and supplement were due 11/1?

since ILR has rolling admissions...i'd say FAX it in if you can...first thing monday morning

ok, and should i email them first, telling them i'm sending it?

thanks, btw

call first thing in the morning...and also...there are online faxing services...if you dont have a fax machine available

if i attached my resume to my common app in the additional info section, is that enough or should i send another copy too?

bump - i have the same question as gumbi.

Guys I called the ILR office and she told me to rush it too them or if I hadnt submitted my common app online yet just send it through that. I ended up just attaching my resume to my comman app.
