Room assignment- screwed up?!

<p>Ok, so I found out from the website 2 days ago that I had been assigned to Simkins which also gave me my roommates contact info.</p>

<p>Now I wasn't pleased because Simkins wasn't even in my 5 shortlisted preferred dorms but I emailed my roommate to introduce myself and such.</p>

<p>Today I checked the website again and NOW it says that I have been assigned to Jester East (which is in my 5 shortlisted dorms) and assigned me a DIFFERENT roommate as well!</p>

<p>What's up with that?</p>

<p>I'm not sure if I should email my new roommate because they might change it again.</p>

<p>Anyone know why they changed my room and roommated assignment (Not that I'm unhappy about it) and if they may change it again?</p>

<p>Call up or email Housing and ask. They are quite responsive.</p>

<p>I think I figured it out- as space opens up they move you up your preference ladder, since Simkins was not on my top 5 listed dorms they moved me to Jester (no.5), now I just found out that it lists Moore-Hill (no.4) as my dorm.</p>

<p>So hopefully as time passes I'll get my first choice dorm.</p>
