I put "Palestinian" in parenthese because that is a non existent state and non existent people. Thus I dont acknowledge the term.

"That doesn't mean I have to hate Palestinians"
...

I dont hate "Palestinians". I just dont think I would get along with any Arab considering my political views and their political views. Ive tried many organizations AKA (seeds of peace) it doesnt work. You can not be friends with your enemy. Sorry

Not all Arabs have the same political views any more than all Jews have the same political views, and I'd bet one of the reasons your view is so simplistic is that you haven't had much contact with any Arabs.

The fact that you view all Arabs as your enemy would go a long way toward impeding friendship.

I have many problems with Islam and would rather not have a roomate who follows that "religion".

Wow. If you wanted people to PM you the debate, pretty bold making these statements in your thread. The former was nicely said with blatant disregard for history, and the latter is disgustingly narrow-minded.

God, I shudder for your roommate.

I hope a mod closes this thread. I don't think statements like the ones you made deserve a place on a college forum, where one should be respectful of cultural and religious diversity. There will never be peace in the Middle East or in the world without that.

Mike - time to open up to other kinds of people. muslims, gays, liberals, whatever they may be. if you don't thats your loss. they arent all so bad!

Whatever, let him do whatever he wants with his side of the room. Even if they follow different religions I'm sure they will get along if they leave eachother alone. i would personally be proud of my heritage as well, just hang the flat wherever you want, nobody can stop you from that. It's your half of the room you paid for, you can do whatever.

And once again, just like he chooses to close off himself to certain people, we can't change who he is. It doesn't matter if we don't approve of his beliefs or whatever to tell you the truth....
