I don’t have much experience, but I stayed in a quad for three weeks this past summer. I loved it, and decided I really enjoyed having people around. What was nice about this quad (not sure how yours will be set up) was that it had three rooms - two bedrooms (two per room) and a study area with four desks. People could stay up late and study/hang out while others could go to bed. For me, I got to meet people outside of my summer college class and have more fun! I think I would enjoy a quad in college, and I will probably request one freshman year!
Another plus to quads - you have a greater chance of getting along with your roommate! With only one roommate, what if you strongly dislike each other? In a quad, at least you can strongly dislike someone and still have other fun roommates!
Again, there were no “parties” allowed at summer college, stricter rules, and not as much work as college life.
Good luck next year! I’m sure you will have fun!
