<p>After reading the Roommate Selection forum and Misoobishi's comment, I think it's worth a try to start a forum that would let people search for their roommate(s) on CC. </p>

<p>I mean, the USC roommate selection thing is pretty much a questionnaire/survey...we do this all the time on here with SAT scores, so why not put up your own stats and profile up here. And since this is a forum, you can write so much more than you can on the USC thing. </p>

<p>Anyways, I don't know if this is a good idea but hopefully it will help =)</p>

<p>P.S. just like the USC website said, please be honest about yourself, it would really suck if you and your roommate don't get along well for a whole year.</p>

<p>I don't even know how to access the USC roommate selection thing. Do you have to know what housing you are into first? So confused. But I applied in late Feb. for Century, still haven't sent in my 300 deposit yet.</p>

<p>I don't think you need to know what housing you are. You just need to pay the $30 Housing Application thing, then afterwards, on step 4 they let you search for roommates.</p>

<p>Comments: Sleeping habit is the most important to me since I'm a light sleeper (snoring will drive me insane...lol). Other than that, I can deal pretty much with anything different than me within a reasonable margin.</p>

<p>haha no but really...male roommate wanted: preferably have a xbox 360 that i could use from time to time (i have a TV!!), must shower often (if not everyday!!!), hometown out of california would be awesome, no annoying hobbies like collecting rat **** and putting it all over the room, have to go to sleep at a decent time (12ish) because i like my sleep, someone who doesn't ****ing leave the alarm clock on and keep pressing snooze every 5 minutes, has to be down with partying once in a while, willing to be my wingman at parties (my current one is planning on going to UCSD and i'm a decent wingman myself so you won't be left hanging), need to like sports! or at least be willing to go to trojan football/basketball games and maybe some lakers and kings games. </p>

<p>You guys might also want to mention a ranking of which buildings you'd prefer. It'd be a pity to find out that you guys are perfectly compatible to find out later that you want to live in New/North while the other wants Fluor :)</p>

Sleeping Habit: latenighter (i can be quiet after like 1am tho if im still awake), and early riser (like 6:30-9am unless it was a very late night)..i think i can be with someone who sleeps in though as long as they're a deep sleeper

Study Habit: I barely study as of now, so I don't know. I'm a crammer :( I don't mind music, but I read faster when it's quiet, so I do that.
Usage of Dorm: Hanging out, sleeping, studying
Sleeping Habit: Lately I've been up til 2, waking up at 6:30 for school. My cell phone is my alarm clock. I sleep through the first four. :( Back in the good ol days, it was sleep at 11, up at 6. But whatever, I really doubt this'll happen in the future. I'm adaptable, unless it's to people who stay up ALL night.
Snoring: No
Personality: very social and outgoing; i LOVE to party so you better be down [Same as melmel07's, except there's some days when I'm just gonna cuddle up and read and forget the world.]
Music: Eclectic. I got pop (incl. mainstream hip hop :P) and Disney songs and underground hip-hop and rock. I can't stand like the really weird WEIRD techno/electronica, even though I used to be into that. I am a sponge. I get into music from whatever my boyfriends listen to, I just realized. I used to date a Slipknot fan, and I listened to Slipknot, and after I dumped him, I was like, wth did he do to my musical taste?! I'll probably absorb my roomie's musical taste.
Leisure Activities: Doing stuff for ECs, probably. I really want to get involved in campus stuff! Hanging out, like eating out or shopping or whatever. Partying.
Smoking: No
Clean-up Habits: I am the type who has crap everywhere, but knows where to find anything. In a smaller room though, this is probably not gonna be as evident. I will respect my roomie's property.</p>

<p>I'm gonna rush in the fall. I want someone to party with, talk with (like with emotional-type issues, maybe). We could do each other's makeup, borrow each other's clothes (not that I have a huge selection), study together, eat together, whatever.</p>

<p>I don't want someone shy, or a neat-freak, or someone super political. Or racist, or in some other way narrow-minded. Umm...that's it I guess.</p>

<p>I chose New/North doubles with sinks cos I need the sinks. 3rd choice is Birnkrant, then fourth and fifth are New/North doubles without sinks.</p>

Personality: According to myers briggs, i'm an extrovert but i'm a borderline introvert
Music: Classical, some good rap (foreign, no mainstream), latin, rock/techno/alternative/electronica
Leisure Activities: piano, talking online/offline, kdice/gpokr, ECs stuff like Model UN and debate
Clean up habits: somewhat disorganized- I intend to change this though
Smoking: Not inside my room. No cigarettes.

<p>I might rush in the fall, sort of unlikely though. I would like someone who is very chill and relaxed, and maybe from the East coast (i'm from SF). I would like someone who is intellectual and able to talk about politics. I don't want some easily offended person or someone who is overly superficial. I don't like people who party constantly or drink excessively: I prefer a stoner over a boozer.</p>

Study Habit: I wish I was one of those brilliant kids who don't need to study, but unfortunately...I do. I tend to stay up late, but small amounts of noise like the TV and soft music won't bug me. That's why they've invented ear plugs!
Usage of Dorm: Hanging out, studying, sleeping
Sleeping Habit: I do love me some sleep. I stay up until 1 or 2, or whenever I can finish my homework by. Definitely won't be pulling all nighters if I can help it. I wake up early on weekdays for school (if I must...ugh), but on the weekend I like to sleep in. I'm a big fan of the snooze button.
Snoring: I don't. I'm a very deep/still sleeper. If YOU snore, it's not a huge deal.
Personality: I'm not a loud person, but I'm not a social hermit either. I'm on the quiet side around people I don't know, but once I feel comfortable, am very talkative. I'm friendly and especially sarcastic. I will do the occasional party in moderation, but I like hanging out in small groups and just talking/watching a movie in the room just as much.
Music: Oh man...I like almost everything except for rap. (And I even like some old underground rap like Souls of Mischief.) I'm a big John Mayer, Jason Mraz, Elliott Yamin fan. Can't forget the Nsync and Disney days either...haha! I can tolerate anything.
Leisure Activities: Sometimes I like having my quiet time...I'm a pretty avid reader. I love hanging out, too. A nice balance, I guess. I love singing, plays, movies, whatever! Even though I'm not very athletic, I try to work out sometimes (God knows we'll need to during freshman year) and will annihilate anyone in ping pong (or at least, I like to think). And if you like American Idol, that's a plus, because I can't not watch that show for whatever reason.
Smoking: No, and would like a roommate who doesn't. I also don't drink, but don't particularly care if my roommate drinks occasionally, as long as I'm not expected to clean up anyone's vomit or have things get out of control. lol :)
Clean-up Habits: I keep after myself, but I'm not a neat freak by any means. I <em>definitely</em> respect other people's property. That is a big deal to me.</p>

Politics: Democrat. I'm Jewish and a journalism major, it's pretty much a given. ;) I'm interested in politics when I have the time to catch up on everything, (might be my minor) but I don't get in heated debates with people about it.
Dorm choices: Birnktrant, Fleuor, Pardee, New...in that order. And yes, I totally just butchered those names...too tired to look up. Who named these anyway!?</p>
