<p>So I just got accepted to UF and Im planning on rooming random for the summer/fall I was wondering how you went about that? like does UF just place you completely randomly or do you fill out a questionnaire? I also know other colleges do like a facebook type thing where you find a random roommate?

<p>Nope it is completely random! If you don’t put in any request, Housing puts one for you! </p>

<p>I had 3 random room mates for Summer B and they were alright (a little too fratty though) , but my Fall room mates were awesome!</p>
<p>Although one of them did leave and we got a random one that is totally weird and we can’t stand it. So just take my exp into consideration.</p>
<p>Take a random room mate with a grain of salt as they can be your new best friend, or a room mate from hell. It’s a good exp to try though! So go for it!</p>
<p>ufchance- I found a facebook page for the class of 2016 which would be the entering freshman in the fall of 2012. I don’t know anyone else who is going to UF Fall of 2012 so I was going to try to meet people on there if possible. Have you found another page or anything else?</p>

<p>I’m doing on campus housing for summer B as a transfer, I really hope I get some cool friendly roomates that like to have fun 
My friends at my current university live on campus and I’ve heard horror stories about cleptos and anti-social awkward prudes :S
