Roommates/friends

<p>i guess this question is for current students.</p>

<p>did you end up being close friends with your roommate? or did you consider him/her just a nice person you got along with and then find closer friends in other places (rest of the hall, class, etc)?</p>

<p>my sister experienced the latter situation in her freshman year at her college, and i was just curious to know which was more typical.</p>

<p>It is very case by case. You'll have people who hated their roommates, others who became great friends with them, and others who just got along with them. I think the last one is the most common, as if you are pretty social, you can get along with most people, and chances are they may not be a personality type that you will become best friends with.</p>
